Brazier Interiors ensures Titanic event
hits the right note
Brazier Interiors has reinforced its commitment to supporting local organisations with its sponsorship of the City of Southampton Orchestra’s Titanic Centenary Concert.
Brazier Interiors, which has invested in sponsorship of the orchestra for many years, gave extra support to the musical group by sponsoring the stage for this special concert.
Held at the Queen Elizabeth Terminal at Southampton Docks on April 10, overlooking the berth from which the Titanic set sail, the event brought together talented musicians and performers from across the city.
Featuring scores such as ‘A Sea Symphony’ composed by Vaughan Williams and a special piece inspired by the Titanic story composed by Ian Towson, the concert was attended by dignitaries such as Mayor of Southampton, Cllr Terry Matthews.
Roy Martin, Managing Director of Brazier Interiors, said: “As a company operating in the city we are incredibly proud of the immense talent that is the City of Southampton Orchestra, which is why we have supported the group for so many years.
“The Titanic Centenary Concert was a fantastic platform for the musicians to showcase this talent while commemorating those lost in the sinking of the Titanic.
“From a personal point of view, having lost two family members on the Titanic, it was a very moving concert and one we were delighted to support.”
The event was also supported by ABP, which provided the venue for the concert.
