New dining hall for Stanbridge Earls School

Hampshire-based interiors’ specialist Brazier Interiors has carried out a full refurbishment of the dining hall and kitchen facility for Stanbridge Earls School in Romsey.

Work on the contract undertaken in just 17 days during the Easter holiday period.

The school required a clean modern environment to accommodate the dining needs of up to 160 pupils at any one sitting.

Managing director at Brazier Interiors, Roy Martin, said: “This was an interesting project with a very tight time scale so planning was critical but and I am delighted that the team worked well, consisting of Brazier Interiors Systems Ltd for the in-house design and construction of the dining area, along with Home & Industrial Services Ltd who took care of the heating and ventilation and AJW Equipment who supplied and installed kitchen equipment, and all was completed on time for the pupils return.

Brazier Interiors was chosen as the preferred contractor when it came to the refurbishment of our dining hall facility.

Added Bill Hadley of Stanbridge Earls, We felt that not only did Brazier Interiors have the creative design flair that we were looking for, Roy Martin, Brazier Interiors managing director, was able prove to us that Brazier Interiors had the resource to deliver a very complex and demanding project in a challenging time frame, some 17 days from start to finish.

The fit out was managed effectively and we were kept up to date with regular on-site meetings. A complex project was managed with true professionalism at all times.

The final result is an excellent first class dining facility that Stanbridge Earls School can be proud of.

We are in the middle of a major development programme despite the economic problems that beset the country. All of the money has been raised prior to beginning the programme and work commenced last May 2008. A new Swimming Pool and Sports Hall were opened by Olympic Gold medallist Paul Goodison in October 2008. Three boarding houses were refurbished over the summer holiday in 2008. A new IT suite, the Cisco Systems Academy, was opened which enables pupils to learn how to network computers and build them from scratch.

With the Dining Room and Kitchen and the year 11 boarding House refurbished we are now commencing work on our 37 bed sixth form boarding house with ensuite facilities that is planned to be completed during the summer holiday period.
